Welcome to my page!

Most of my current work is acrylic paint on stretched canvas. Nature is my inspiration, color is my passion. I paint plein air landscapes, as well as more developed studio landscapes. I also love to explore the detail of nature close up: vegetables, fruit, birds and flowers are favorites. I live in the Pacific Northwest near many beautiful rivers, streams, creeks, waterfalls, mountains, trees, farms and ranches and am very lucky to be able to paint this beauty that is all around me,.

I am a member of the Plein Air Painters of the Umpqua, and the Umpqua Valley Art Association. Many of my pieces have been accepted into juried shows. Many originals have been purchased by collectors in many states. I have studied with a number of excellent artists: Jason Mayr, Charles Waldman, Mitch Baird. Much of my education has been through books, videos as well as community college classes.
